Mexico becomes first developing country to pass legislation on climate changeIn what can be called as one of the boldest steps ever taken by the developing countries on climate change, Mexico passed the law that makes the CO2 emission reduction and targets of renewable energy mandatory. India was one of the first countries to make National Plan on Climate Change in 2008. Mexico has gone further to make legislation to implement its own plan.

Paolo Buoni (Managing Director of European Energy Centre , a partner of TERRE in Scotland)Paolo brings to TERRE POLICY CENTRE his expertise in renewable energy. He is the founder and Managing Director of the European Energy Centre (EEC) based in the United Kingdom. Mr. Paolo Buoni successfully launched training programmes for technicians in the renewable energy sector, including international seminars and conferences. Paolo has always had a natural and moral duty towards safeguarding the environment; he decided to make a contribution towards saving the environment by promoting the use of renewable energy by establishing EEC and partnering with TERRE. Paolo was instrumental in organizing International Conference on Renewable Energy in India.
Paolo would act as Renewable Energy advisor to TERRE.
